Lovely cotton yarn to work with, does not split as easily as the 10 ply and finished product is also lovely
I knitted the short sleeve cardigan as per my previous review. Despite knitting a smaller size than normal I found that the yarn was very stretchy and slack.

Work in progress for granddaughter. She has a skin allergy and is only allowed to wear cotton, so Heirloom Cotton 8 ply is perfect. First time I have knitted with it, and can’t believe how soft it is. Other cotton yarns can be a bit hard and split easily when knitting. No splitting and good even tension. Great range of colours as Miss 4 year old very happy with her choice. Great service with quick delivery to NSW regional area.
Have always knitted this baby blanket in Double Knitting when I lived in Scotland but now using this cotton yarn and finding it knits up really good and will be cool
I haven’t finished this Lacy wrap (rectangle) yet and love the video tutorials/patterns I find on YouTube. This pattern is from Bag O Day Crochet. Love love love this lady and her patterns. I don’t have any trouble changing it to an Australian Crochet Pattern and have many patterns in my own book. Love Crocheting, (Mum started teaching me even before I could read), and am happy to find Australian cotton made in Australia. 💖 If anyone has an Australian YouTube Chanel, I would be grateful. 😉

I thought I was buying 50g balls which would be in one piece per ball. Out of the 8 balls purchased, 5 of them had joins (knotted not spliced) and 3 of them had multiple knotted joins. This is my first experience with heirloom and will not be purchasing again, I am very disappointed as it is lovely and soft, was nice to knit with and I loved the pattern.

Love the cotton Heirloom and the cotton Wren. Both brands have great colour choice. So far I have only knitted with the cotton Heirloom and it is knitting up really nicely.
