I do a great deal of crochet blankets and I only use Alpaca. It is soft light and very warm

I make alpaca plus hats for a couple of charities. Heirloom brims, often crowns too, but two in the photo are crowns from bamboo and wool. The Heirloom alpaca is a joy to knitt. Love it.

I knitted this jumper for my Great Grandaughter who lives in Adelaide and me living in sunny Qld means I don’t get to meet her, however, I knitted this very same pattern for my 3children and friends when we lived in cold Victoria during the 70’s and 89’s in Caressa, however, I recently knitted this in Alpaca 8 ply and turned out beautiful . Just loved knitting this yarn. It glides off the needles. Had this cardigan finished in super quick time. Its so soft and squishy and so warm. Will be buying more. Would be ideal for babies.

I had not been able to knitting for a bit over two years, post covid. Decided the time had come. No big jumpers, simple hats, for charitable causes. I am into it again. I started knitting age 20, have been an avid knitter for 66 years. It broke my heart when I couldn't knitting, felt very deprived. Having fun once more. I'm sitting, I'm knitting.
