Love using this wool. It is soft and suitable for babies and children’s clothing.
I have knitted this for my new grandson being born in Melbourne in February.
Mum taught me to knit when I was five and introduced me to Cleckheaton ten years later. I love using this wool and I really love its colours. With many now discontinued, I've been adding to my stash and have discovered The Yarn Store - good range, upfront about what's actually in stock and quick service. What's not to like?
I have used this yarn before to knit a lovely boys jumper - this time for one of my evergrowing 10 year old grandsons.

Knitting up a vest, the wool is soft, warm and very easy to knit with loving the green, getting in early for Saint Patrick's Day 2025.

A great wool to knit with, introduced to me by my mother almost 60 years ago. Big range of colours, warm to wear, hand washes easily and doesn't lose shape (it will start to pill after a few years of wear). Excellent service from the Yarn Store, including a phone call about dye lots. The piece in the photo is being knitted in cream, flame, copper, brown, faun and a touch of yellow.
Such a beautiful colour to mix and match.
A work in progress. This will be a blanket with warmth and a bit of weight. My second effort, because No 2 Niece has put in an order. I used two different colours at times, knitting just plain rows while watching tv. Next job is stitching these altogether. (But knitting “scarves” saves time over one previous effort at “squares”. That was a nightmare to finish up.)

Love the yarn store and love this yarn. Pure wool and a stunning colour of red. I have 4 adult children and 3 adult step children. I’ve made each of them a large blanket using this yarn in different colours over many years. It wears beautifully.
The yarn store is my new favorite craft supply store. They are cheaper and faster than spotlight and so much more fun to shop with. I was suprised by how lovely this yarn is. It knits up into a soft and silky fabric in a luscious berry colour. Very pleased.
Absolutely brilliant service and beautiful yarn
The yarn store are great to deal with. The yarn is good quality and arrived quickly. The colour was a different pink than the swatches online, lighter rather than the rose pink indicated. Not sure how to overcome that for future selections as it’s quite significant and not what I was wanting. I had opened the packets and started my work so I didn’t send them back but next time might try and get a sample first to be sure. Otherwise, can’t fault this lovely online store.

When the wool arrived it was a completely different colour pink to the one advertised. Really not happy. The wool in the photo online was much paler than the wool I received. It’s false advertising in my opinion. I understand that colours vary and can look quite different online But this was more than a slight colour variation I feel
